“My name is Santiago Ibarra, I am 23 years old, I am a gay and, I assumed myself as such at 19. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I am a graphic designer and my hobby is tattooing, I like everything related to art.

Six months ago I met The lighthouses . They were recommended to me by a person I love very much, because he knew I was having a bad time and he believed that The lighthouses could help me.
I think I always avoid the possibility of getting better, of healing, of helping myself, They came into my life when I had really hit rock bottom.

My family is a mess. We weren't even one bit connected, in fact, I always felt like I didn't belong in that family.
With my self-esteem issues, I always let myself get trampled on and I'm not just talking about my family anymore. I felt less than other people, I had a hard time expressing myself, saying no, I couldn't say no to anything. I wanted to conform to everyone just to fit in, to feel accepted.

But with the weekly encounters with a Lighthouse, made me realized that the only one who has to accept is myself is ME.
It's an incredible Journey because in 6 months of sessions I learned that I was worth a lot more than I thought, that I had potential, that all those negative things I saw about myself were only in my head. That I don't have to conform to anyone.
I learned that to be good with my surroundings I have to be good with myself. Heal from within, find me, feel me, love me.

I think love is the key, and I'm finding it. Grateful forever.”

“My name is Lumturije Arifi-Ameti. I am a 33-year-old female, married to an amazing man with two beautiful children. My occupation is a pharmacist at CVS pharmacy, where I have dedicatedly worked for over 10 years.

I am Albanian, and my name Lumturije in Albanian, means happy, which ironically was something I had lost over the years while searching for some truth in my life. This is also how I ended up having a lighthouse experience, I was unhappy and looking for light and truth and some coherence in all that was happening in my life.

The Lighthouse experience made me feel very comfortable, and I got the sense that was someone I could trust. I decided to open up to different possibilities to approach life and change some behavioral problems.  From day one, I couldn’t stop speaking in our encounters, it was so liberating.

What I feel while having a Lighthouse experience is having a burden taken off of me. Just to have someone you can open up to and not judge you and just listen is helpful and makes me feel relieved after. I feel relaxed and at ease sharing my problems and trying to find solutions, learning how to use the tools, and applying them. I can take on the day by having someone to listen and guide me. Also learning to see that I am my own Guide, my own Light and that I can take on the day with my strength and knowledge.

The Lighthouse experience showed me the light by being the light, and everything else in between that I learned was a bonus.”
